Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, Chair of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the EU, began a working visit to Madrid. She met with Alberto Fabra, the new head of the Joint Committee on European Affairs of both chambers of the Spanish Parliament. During the conversation, they discussed countering russian aggression, Ukraine's military needs, increasing sanctions pressure on russia, finding a solution to unblock European loans for Ukraine, and Ukraine's movement towards the EU.
"In Spain, both the ruling and opposition political forces support Ukraine. At the same time, for obvious reasons, our struggle remains a rather distant topic for part of society here. Therefore, we are using every opportunity to explain the situation through the media and invite our colleagues to visit Ukraine — it is their personal perception of events that strengthens the voices of politicians in their circles," said Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze.
