World Agriculture Day is celebrated annually on 9 September to highlight the role of agriculture in human life, emphasise the importance of farmers and agrarians in ensuring food security, draw attention to the problems of rural development, and remind us of the global challenges facing the agricultural sector, such as climate change, new eating habits, the need for sustainable development, and soil conservation.
World Agriculture Day was founded by the Canadian organisation AGyours Group.
Ukraine plays a key role in ensuring global food security, being one of its guarantors thanks to its powerful agricultural sector and food exports. And during russia's military aggression, Ukraine's food security means stability for global markets.
Despite four years of war, Ukraine is proving its resilience and showing itself to be a reliable supplier of agricultural products to the world, remaining a mainstay for nearly 400 million people on different continents.
