Mykola Tomenko suggests that the situation regarding the National Center named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko should be scrutinized.
The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko appealed to the Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Spirituality, Volodymyr Yavorivskiy, in order to point the attention on the situation with the National Center named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko.
In particular, Mykola Tomeko appeals to the numerous publications in mass media, in particular the material in "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia" on 22nd of November 2008, containing information on the Ministry on Culture and Tourism of Ukraine intentions to devote funds of the Center for the formation of new state enterprise "Kinoteleervice".
It was also stressed that the leaders of the Committee purposely interfere with the economic affairs of the Center.
Taking into account that the National center named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko is the only profile enterprise that is engaged with the preserving of the national cinematographic achievements and development of the cinema archival work, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposes that Volodymyr Yavorivskiy scrutinize the facts regarding the case on the meeting of his Committee.
