The Committee on Judicial Policy recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine" (re Authorities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and Proceedings on Constitutional Appeals)

The Bill (Reg. No.2219) regulates the procedure, pursuant to which, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is to define compliance of a Bill on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine with requirements of Articles 157 and 158 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Pursuant to the Bill, the Constitutional Court is to initiate proceedings on Constitutional appeals within two months.

The Committee members believe that introduced amendments will "facilitate timely preparation of cases for consideration, and enhance efficient activity of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine".
