The People´s Deputies visited customs terminals of Odesa and Illichivsk trade seaports.
Due to Ukraine´s commitments related to its joining Kyoto Convention, "introduction of regulations included in general and special annexes, into Ukrainian legislation should be regarded as a task of top-priority". Therefore, more than 280 regulations of the Convention are to be introduced into Ukrainian legislation.
Thus, amendments to124 articles of the Customs Code of Ukraine appertain to appealing against decisions, activity and inactivity of customs bodies and their officials; information technologies in the customs sector; customs procedure concerning supplies; coastal shipping, etc.
The participants of the meeting stated that coordination of the Customs Code of Ukraine with the Kyoto Convention will "contribute to the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with the international standards".
