The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government considered two similar Bills on Amendments to the Law "On Local Self-Government"

Inter alia, the Bill (Reg. No. 0901) envisages more accurate definition of relevant statements of the Law "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", appertaining to the terms of office of local councils, mayors of villages, settlements and towns, chairmen and vice-chairmen of regional, district, municipal district councils and time of their termination.

The Committee members also scrutinized the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" (re Number of Vice-Chairmen of District and Regional Councils; Reg. No. 2355 the 5^th Convocation).

As a result of the discussion, the Committee passed a resolution to unify these Bills for consideration in the second reading.
