Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a basis draft law "On amendments to Law of Ukraine "On status of deputies of local councils" (concerning recall of deputies of local councils)"

The draft law (No. 3693) proposes to repeal the provision stipulating that citizens of Ukraine have the right to make a proposal to recall a deputy of a local council at the people's initiative, not earlier than in one year from the assumption of such powers.

In addition, it is planned to grant the right to recall a deputy of a local council to the governing body of a party, which coordinated the decision of a corresponding congress (corresponding conference) on nomination of the election list of candidates to the corresponding council.

The draft law was adopted with amendments proposed during the discussion.
