At the beginning of the meeting, held on request of Iranian Party, S.Kazemi congratulated O.Bilorus on being elected the Committee Chairman, and expressed willingness of Iranian Party to develop Ukrainian-Iranian inter-parliamentary cooperation.
During the meeting the Parties discussed development of bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation aimed at support and development of inter-parliamentary dialogue between the Republic of Iran and Ukraine.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran informed the Committee Chairman on Iranian nuclear program, which is being implemented within the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); reported on the opening of Iran History, Geography and Culture Department in the National Taras Shevchenko University, Inter-Regional Academy of Personnel Management, Linguistic University and other higher educational establishments in the country, expressed his interest in enhanced cooperation between Ukraine and Muslim countries, including cooperation at the level of parliament members. S.Kazemi expressed willingness of Iranian Party to restore "Group of Friendship" in Ukrainian and Iranian Parliaments.
The Committee Chairman dwelled on prospects of cooperation with the Republic of Iran at economic, financial and political levels, drew attention to the necessity of extending economic cooperation with the countries of European Union, and advanced a proposal to establish relations at the level of committees of relevant countries.
In the end of the meeting Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran presented Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with an invitation to make an official visit to the Republic of Iran and invited the Committee Chairman on behalf of his Iranian peer to visit Iran.
