The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine O. Moroz believes that the configuration of political forces in Parliament will remain unchanged in the outcome of the election. 'The Coalition will remain virtually unchanged, both  in terms of its political set-up, and its individual Membership, O, Moroz remarked at today's Press Conference in Nyzhyn,  as part of  his Working Visit to the Chernihiv Region.

At the same time everyone realises that not all of it will be plain sailing, commented Moroz. He does not exclude attempts 'from any of the Parties to declare the election invalid, in order that Parliament is not recognised as valid'.

Admittedly, the 'Our Ukraine-Self-Defence' Bloc and ‘The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc´, who will fail to gain a majority, ' will refuse to swear the Oath and will insist that there is a repeat performance of this ‘comedy of errors´ that seems to be continuing ad infinitum.

In this case, according to O. Moroz, a scenario will be phased in to declare The President as the only legitimate Authority, and enter his extended powers into the Constitution, approved at a Referendum, under such circumstances as when the preceding Parliament no longer appears to exist and a new one has not been created.

O.Moroz stressed that the Plenary Meetings, held on 4 and 20 September of this year, have deprived The President of any grounds for a decision on the early termination of Parliament's authority pursuant to Article 30 of the Constitution. 'Therefore, should this scenario be acted out alongside a working Parliament, the Constitutional Court shall, at long last, make the decision to confirm a non-Constitutional status of The President's Edicts on the early termination of Parliament's  authority based on  The Deputies' Submissions´, he said.

During his Working Visit to the Chernihiv Region, The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also visited Chernihiv, where he presented an icon to St Trinity Cathedral, on the occasion of the Commemoration Day of the Discovery and Transferral of the Relics of Sanctifier  Theodosius, Archbishop of Chernihiv.

In Pryluky, O. Moroz attended the Unveiling Ceremony of the first ever Ukrainian monument depicting Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko as an artist. O. Moroz stressed that Shevchenko 'belongs to the whole world, not only Ukraine'. Today, Ukraine is facing the danger of being short changed´. Therefore, 'Our people and society should become even more united, overcome disagreements and do only good for this land.', said Moroz.

The same day, O. Moroz met teaching staff and students of the M. Hohol State Teachers' Training University of Nyzhyn, citizens of Nyzhyn, Nyzhyn and Kulykiv Districts, and Chairmen of Village Councils in the Nyzhyn District.
