At its Meeting, The Committee considered an Address from the Head of The Kharkiv State Administration, A. Avakov, on the possibility of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
calling an early election for Kharkiv City Council Deputies and The Kharkiv City Mayor.
The People's Deputies were given information, presented by Yu. Kliuchkovsky, Committee Vice-Chairman, on the Address from The Head of the Kharkiv State Administration, advising them of infringements of current Legislation by The Kharkiv City Mayor, in such areas as Land Relations, Town Planning and Architecture, Housing and Communal Services, and Political Parties and Organizations.
The outcome of this discussion resulted in Members of the Committee resolving to set up a Task Force to look into this matter, which would include the following People's Deputies: Mykola Traiduk (Chairman), Serhiy Hordiyenko, Vladyslav Kaskiv, Vadym Petrenko and Viktor Pylypyshyn.
The Task Force has until 9 February 2008 to prepare a Draft Opinion on this concern, and to submit it to the Committee for consideration.
