The Bill (Reg. No. 4026) envisages a new wording of Part 1 of Article 35 of the Land Code of Ukraine that will contain the following: "the citizens of Ukraine and gardening societies, registered on the territory of Ukraine, in State or municipal property, can assume free possession or lease of land plots for individual or collective gardening with the right of change of the land plot purpose for individual construction due to the general layout."
Ihor Shkira and Ivan Popesku, the authors of the Bill, believe that adoption of the Bill will promote reduction of expenses connected with execution of privatization documents on the land plots for the members of gardening. It will also help preserve the infrastructure of gardening societiers and, consequently, will promote purposeful management of land resources of Ukraine.
