The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement is preparing the Bill on amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the parliamentary discussion.
The authors of the Bill (Reg. No. 4024) deem necessary to adopt the amendments to the Criminal Code in view of rise in the number of offences connected with performing operations with financial assets. Sometimes the financial institution can render financial services without relevant status and license, in spite of legislative requirement to obtain relevant status and license.
The Bill envisages a new wording of the title and disposition of Part 2 of Article 202 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that will take into account effective legislative regulations concerning rendering financial services and will eliminate inaccuracy in legislation that promotes committing fraud in the field of financial services.
The adoption of the Law will contribute to protection of financial services consumers´ rights.
