On Monday the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada Olexander Moroz Received the Parliamentary Delegation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Headed by Taher Al Masri, the Vice-Chairman of the Senatorial Chamber of the Jordanian Parliament.
T. Al Masri stated that it was the first visit of parliamentary delegation of Jordan in Ukraine and highly appreciated the level of organization of the OSCE PA Session.
According to his speech, political relations between our countries constantly improve and trade turnover also expands. "On return to Jordan, we will convince the Government to extend the cooperation with Ukraine in a number of fields," said T. Al Masri. He deems personal contacts also very important. The Vice-Chairman of the Senatorial Chamber of the Jordanian Parliament expects that the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will find an opportunity to visit Jordan.
O. Moroz emphasized the identity of interests of our countries, especially on political level: "We are interested in peace and stability in the Near East, in the mutual understanding between the countries." He calls for employing diplomatic methods to settle the conflicts in the region. Regarding this issue, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine characterized the role of Jordan in the solution of regional problems as "remarkable and notable".
O. Moroz emphasized that Ukraine is interested in the development of closer relations with Jordan. "Ukrainian economy requires development of business contacts, and it is rapidly progressing in spite of a complicated political situation," he said.
