The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations upholds the draft resolution on the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the President of the Russian Federation on releasing Ukrainian pilot and people's deputy of the eighth convocation Nadiia Viktorivna Savchenko

During the discussion, Chairperson of the Committee Hryhorii Nemyria stressed "It is our duty to support our colleague Nadiia Savchenko".

In his words, the draft resolution "calls to release all Ukrainian citizens who were captured during the military conflict in the East of Ukraine, illegally transported to the Russian territory and held there against their will".   

The Chairperson of the Committee also reminded about the respective address of the European Parliament.

The draft resolution was registered under No. 1095.
