Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine delegation in the PABSEC Ivan Kyrylenko participated in the 44th General Assembly in Athens

In his speech "BSEC region as an economic component of the international cooperation system", people's deputy of Ukraine claimed that "unfortunately, this meeting is held under such conditions when the BSEC Organization, as well as its parliamentary component, is facing the most serious challenges for the entire period of its existence".  

I.Kyrylenko also said that "the Russian Federation imposed separatism on Ukraine, which is the most grave and cruel form of conflict". In his words, this undermines security not merely in the Black Sea region but in Europe and in the whole world as well. 

"Under these conditions, the role of parliamentarism within the BSEC in political regulation of regional conflicts is invaluable", stressed I.Kyrylenko.  

On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the speaker appreciated efficient work of the PABSEC in organizing observer mission which showed that parliamentary elections in Ukraine were held in line with international democratic standards.

In words of I.Kyrylenko, PABSEC proved its ability to efficiently organize work on further development of integrational processes and promoting relations between countries.
