The event, initiated by the Open Politics Fund, took place on November 10, 2014.
Problems of young science of Ukraine, establishing efficient communication between specialized scientific lyceums, universities, scientific research institutes, families of young researchers, and NGOs were discussed at the round table.
The Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education stressed "Singing the Association Agreement makes the educational issues very topical. We shall join the EU as a competitive country, and we can achieve this by producing new knowledge and technology".
"We should have a clearly defined state policy on the priority of science development, since the current fundamental problem is how to make young researchers stay here, in Ukraine", stressed L. Hrynevych.
"It is necessary for young researchers to be able to meet their academic ambitions. Unfortunately, a lot of them can not achieve this, and thus, they leave Ukraine", claimed the Chairperson of the Committee.
Another topical issue is social protection of young researchers and loan programmes for housing.
The third important component is career prospects and engaging in all European and world's scientific processes.
"Some valid and reasonable proposals voiced at this round table encourage establishing an advisory body at the Committee which shall consist of young researchers", said the Chairperson of the Committee.
Deputy Minister of Science and Education Maksym Strikha, Attache for university and scientific cooperation of the Embassy of France in Ukraine Gilles Mametz, Chairperson of the Council of Young Researchers of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of NAS of Ukraine Oleksandr Skorokhod, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists Department of Physics and Astronomy of NAS of Ukraine Yulia Bezvershenko, and others participated in the round table discussion.
