A solemn ceremony dedicated to the 20th Internship Programme for 99 interns at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2014-2015 was held on Monday.
Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine R. Koshulynskyi addressed the interns "Today you begin your journey in the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It is an internship, it is knowledge, and it is a journey. Before you enter these new penates, I want to wish you three basic things: paradox, humour, and journey".
R. Koshulynskyi called the youth not "to be surprised at the paradox" which, in his words, exists in some places at the Verkhovna Rada. "The life has a plus and minus, therefore a battery produces energy. You will experience this paradox in these walls", claimed the politician.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament wished the interns "to have humour in order to see your own mistakes". According to him, self-improvement is impossible without humour. "If you can find courage and start laughing at yourselves, then you will start improving yourselves", added R. Koshulynskyi.
"The journey you embark on today is a basis for your growth, a basis of life. Thus, I wish that this journey, first of all, is interesting for you. Since the curiosity is a drive for self-improvement", claimed R. Koshulynskyi.
In his words, this journey will not be easy, "it will be complicated, as well as happy and interesting", and it will allow you to harden up yourself as personality and to be "an unbreakable specialist". "You will be highly educated, you will see how laws are elaborated in our country, and how Ukrainian state is developing", stressed the Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"Wherever life will bring you, whoever you will become in life, this is your unique chance to acquire that kind of knowledge you can acquire nowhere else", said R. Koshulynskyi, and added "I am sincerely grateful to the leadership of the Programme which we have been managing for 20 years already. Taking into account that today is the World Youth Day, it is the evidence that we have a great start".
Summing up, R. Koshulynskyi stated that thanks to a long-term cooperation with the Internship Programme some of the graduates have achieved great social recognition – ranging from the work in deputy corps to being the Cabinet of Ministers members. He wished the interns "great curiosity and great achievements".
