Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov awarded drivers certificates for “Spartan-aps” military cars

On Wednesday, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov jointly with leadership of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Defence Ministry of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine participated in the presentation and awarding certificates for 10 “Spartan-aps” cars.
These armored vehicles, according to Oleksandr Turchynov, were produced on the domestic Kraz enterprise. “As exemplified by these powerful vehicles, it can be seen how efficiently the defense complex of the state has started working,” he noted.
Ten examples of new powerful vehicles were produced on order of the National
Guard with consideration of constructive observations and wishes, as well as rationalization
proposals. “Our military are badly in need of these cars, since they are the
best example of such equipment not only in Ukraine but also in the world,”
stressed Chairperson of the Parliament. Oleksandr Turchynov expressed hope that
there will be a demand for these vehicles not only in Ukraine but
also beyond. “This will change our export potential. These are additional
workplaces and additional salaries,” he underlined. According to the Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, the cars have enhanced weapons system and are equipped with new fire systems. He has noted also that in several days they will be sent to the ATO zone.

It is planned to discuss the concept of reforming the Internal Affairs Ministry of Ukraine during the extended meeting of the collegium of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Ukraine with participation of Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
