Ukraine’s victory in the military opposition with the Russian Federation will in the meantime mean Georgia’s victory, - Ruslan Koshulynskyi.

At the invitation of Alex Petriashvili, Georgia’s Minister of on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Koshulynskyi participated in the eleventh international conference “European Way of Georgia” that took place in Batumi on July 10-11, 2014.

High-ranking officials and representatives of the EU and Georgia’s NGOs participated in the conference and discussed issues of implementation of the Association Agreement, including the issue of establishment of a free trade zone, prospects of cooperation within the Eastern Partnership format and the agenda of cooperation between the EU and Georgia on the eve of the Eastern Partnership Summit that will be held in Riga in 2015.

In the course of the Conference, R.Koshulynskyi held working meetings with David Usupashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, and Bogdan Borusewicz, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

R.Koshulynskyi informed the Speakers about current developments in Ukraine. He was reassured in the comprehensive support to Ukraine on the part of Georgian and Polish people. David Usupashvili and Bogdan Borusewicz proposed to share their experience in carrying out the necessary reforms in the course of implementation of the Association Agreement with Ukraine. 

Despite the fact that conference was devoted to the problematics of Georgian Euro-integration, the theme of Russian aggression against Ukraine was uppermost in the speeches of almost all delegates. The idea was expressed that Ukraine’s victory in the military opposition with the Russian Federation will in the meantime mean Georgia’s victory. Otherwise, Russia’s aggression will be directed against Georgia.
