On Friday, at 11 a.m. a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council on the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will be held.
This was announced by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov when opening the plenary meeting of the Parliament on Friday.
The Chairman of the Parliament stressed that, unfortunately, military men of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, “who, regardless of the warnings, are moving on the territory of Crimea in direction not agreed by the Ukrainian Party,” are involved in the escalation of the conflict.
Today’s agenda of the Parliament includes the draft Resolution on the address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the guarantor-states of the Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
