The bill (Reg. No. 2086) suggests supplementing article 63 of the Law “On Pension Provision of Persons Discharged from Military Service and Several Other Persons” with a new part four, under which, the Cabinet of Ministers “can take the decision to hold additional recalculation of pensions in order to prevent difference in the amount of pension payments depending on the year of pension appointment and by reference to finance possibilities of state budget”.

Upholding the legislative initiative as aiming at refining the level of pension provision of military pensioners, the Committee noted that the suggested method to ensure equality of pension amounts appointed to the abovementioned law is doubtful.

That is why, the Committee members took the decision to recommend the Verkhovna Rada recommit the bill to the subject of legislative initiative for refinement, following the results of its consideration in the first reading.
