It was noted that the bill (Reg. No. 0930) aims at setting a fixed period for sending e-copies of court judgments by the judge to the Single state register of court judgments and establishing responsibility for non-fulfillment of this duty.

Respective amendments are to be made to article 83 of the Law “On Court System and the Status of Judges”.

Committee members emphasized that establishing the broadest possible access of citizens to court judgments is an important constituent for securing their constitutional rights, as well as an important condition for increasing their trust in the courts of Ukraine.

Thereat, parliament members noted that the Law “On Access to Court Judgments” does not predetermine the fixed period during which the judge is to send the e-copy to the Single state register of court judgments. People’s deputies believe that this leads to the situation when a significant part of e-copies of court judgments is either not registered in the Single state register of court judgments at all, or is registered within considerable periods of time.

People’s deputies suggest supplement article 3 of the Law “On Access to Court Judgments” with part four.
