The bill (Reg. No. 0928) suggests supplementing the current law with a new article establishing that the Verkhovna Rada exercises parliamentary control in the sphere of fulfilling decisions and application of practice of the Court within the authorities predetermined by the Constitution of Ukraine.

The bill stipulates specifying provisions of article 14 of the Law “On Fulfillment of Decisions and Application of Practice of the European Court on Human Rights”.

People’s deputies suggest a new version of the Final Provisions: “This Law comes into force on the day next to the day of its publishing. 2. The Cabinet of Ministers is to ensure that its executive authorities shall bring regulatory legal acts in line with this Law within the period of two months from the date of enactment of this Law”.

Parliament members believe that adoption of the abovementioned bill shall increase implementation level of fundamental human rights and freedoms in Ukraine and promote introduction of effective mechanisms of their legal protection and renovation.
