Within the implementation of the Model topical pattern of meeting of the Advisory Council on local self-government, training of local self-government officials and deputies of local councils in 2013, approved by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat held training for administrators of executive offices of Kyiv Oblast regional councils on 23 April 2013.
The Deputy Chairman of the Secretariat V.Yalovyi spoke before the participants of the training. The Chairmen and leading specialist of the secretariats of the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on State Building and Local Self-Government, on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure, Ethics and Support to Work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Local Authorities and Local Governments Liaison Office, Personnel Office, Information Office.
Participants of the training got acquainted with a wide range of issues of legislative support of local self-government development, improving regional policy, planning day-to-day management of local councils’ executive offices.
Local councils’ officials had a possibility to exchange experience with colleagues and consult with respective workers from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat.
Each participant received information and reference materials for day-to-day management usage; a tour of the administrative building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (conference hall, lobby, balcony of the session hall) was conducted.
