The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak participated in the festive occasion of the Environment Day

 The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak participated in the festive occasion of the Environment Day.

Volodymyr Rybak planted a conifer in the Mariinsky Park in the enclosed court of the House of the Parliament.

Answering journalists’ questions, Volodymyr Rybak expressed conviction that it is necessary “to establish order, where you live”. “Winter has passed and it is time to clean up. It is our home, it is our city. We live and work here and that is why we need to establish order,” he said and added “it is very good that tens of thousands of people will participate in the volunteer clean-up tomorrow”.

The Chairman of the Parliament informed that he has planted more then thousand of trees during his life and that at his initiative city mayors planted trees from each region in the newly established park in the city of Bucha last year.

Volodymyr Rybak stressed that it will be pleasant to have a rest in the clean parks and that similar initiatives should be supported. “This is a good deed,” he said wishing everyone well and health.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik participated in the festive occasion of the Environment Day.

The personnel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat also participated in the beautification measures within an annual All-Ukrainian promotional event “For clean environment”.

More then 500 employees from all the departments of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat and parliamentary committee secretariats participated in cleaning up, greening and beautification of Mariiinsky Park and Miskyi Sad park in the Pechersk region of Kyiv.

Leaders of the Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat upheld the respective initiative of the personnel of the Secretariat’s trade union committee.

Besides, people’s deputies of Ukraine and the personnel of the Secretariat participated in the beautification measures of the green zones near the administrative and residential buildings of the Verkhovna Rada, located in different parts of the capital.
