The Committee on the Rule of Law and Justice recommends that the Parliament should adopt in the second reading and in entirety the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re bringing legislation in line with the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine

The bill (Reg. No. 0894) aims at bringing terminology used in legislative acts of Ukraine in line with conceptual apparatus of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine.

Respected amendments and supplements are proposed to the following legislative acts: the Criminal Code, the Criminal Executive Code, the Economic Procedural Code, the Civil Procedural Code, the Customs Code, the Code of Administrative Justice of Ukraine, laws “On Executive Proceedings”,On Prevention and Fighting Legalization (Laundering) of Proceeds of Crime, or Financing Terrorism”, “On Law Enforcement”, “On Militia”,  “On Bodies and Services for Children’s Affairs and Special Institutions for Children” and other legislative acts.

According to the members of the Committee, adoption of the bill will allow bringing provisions of legislative acts of Ukraine in line with the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine, which, in its turn, will provide possibility to implement actions, procedures and authorities fixed by the norms of new criminal procedural code of Ukraine.
