The Committee on Finance and Banking recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re the status and operating environment of the Computing center on maintaining agreements on financial markets

 The bill (Reg. No. 2662) suggests granting the Computing Center on maintaining agreements on financial markets the status of bank institution.

It was noted that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat does not uphold the suggestion to grant the Computing Center the status of a commercial bank and deems it inexpedient to grant this institution the possibility to conduct the whole spectrum of banking transactions.

The conclusion of the National Bank has also been considered during the meeting. The National Bank of Ukraine upheld the bill for its adoption shall allow the Computing Center to maximally efficiently exercise its functions and shall provide legislative basis for the National Bank to monitor it as a bank.
