The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 59 of the Law “On Nuclear Energy Use and Radiation Safety” re customs registration of radioactive materials

The bill (Reg. No. 1185) supplements the existing law with a new part, under which, passing of radioactive materials through the customs border of Ukraine, as well as their customs clearance is carried out by the customs bodies in the presence of the permission to transportation of radioactive materials, received using information technology, in case of international transport.
