It was noted that on the order of the Kremenchuk disctic state administration, the Ukrainian State Scientific and Research Institute for Urban Planning “Dnipromisto” jointly with “Kharkiv Prombudndiproekt” have elaborated the “Kremenchuk district development scheme”. The main aim of the scheme is to expand mining and industrial area at the expense of Poltava black soil by 18 thousand hectares (which is the fifth part of Kremenchuk district), as a result of what 14 regional villages shall be destroyed.

Committee members believe that adoption of the bill (Reg. No. 2526) shall allow carry out full and comprehensive investigation of facts of violation of legislation while issuing licenses and allocating land plots for the construction of Bilaniv ore mining and processing enterprise on the territory of Kremenchuk district of Poltava region; and investigate possible threat to national security and violation of constitutional rights of citizens, which might be caused by such construction.
