The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Valentyn Nalyvaichenko met with the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Giorgi Baramidze

During the meeting that was held at the request of Georgian Party, inter-state mutual relations, their political, economic and humanitarian compounds were discussed.  

Valentyn Nalyvaichenko familiarized members of the delegation with internal political situation in Ukraine, spoke on the work of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and stressed on the necessity to activate work of bilateral cooperation on political, economic and humanitarian levels. In particular, Valentyn Nalyvaichenko noted that the cooperation of parliaments in the framework of international institutions is extremely important for the Committee. This cooperation testifies similarities of Ukraine’s and Georgia’s positions regarding issues of international policy, peace and safety in the region and demonstrates effectiveness of mutual support of positions and interests of our states in inter-parliamentary organizations.  

Giorgi Baramidze stressed that inter-parliamentary contacts are extremely important for his country, and such bilateral relations are marked with significant potential and perspectives for further development. He expressed his hopes for future fruitful cooperation between two countries on the level of parliaments and inter-parliamentary assemblies.
