The Parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, on the parliamentary level, and European perspectives of Ukraine and Georgia.
“Your country is on the right way. Regardless of who governs Ukraine and Georgia, European integration should be the priority for our countries,” Giorgi Baramidze stressed.
According to Hryhoriy Nemyria, “despite all the difficulties, this year could be a year of success for Ukraine and Georgia.”
“European integration will open huge perspectives for our countries. But to be open for Europe the states should be open for their citizens. It means keep to the civil rights and freedoms and respect the rule of law,” he said.
The Chairman of the Committee and the Deputy Speaker expressed their hopes that the EU summit in Vilnius will satisfy expectations of Ukraine and Georgia.
Giorgi Baramidze invited Hryhoriy Nemyria to visit Georgia in the nearest future.
