Liliya Hrynevych informed that “the Cabinet of Ministers cancelled early decision to reorganize the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies named after S.Z. Gzhytskyi. It means that one of the oldest higher educational institutions in the Eastern Europe is saved.”
The Chairperson of the Committee stressed that it was the result of the positions of the educators and students of the university, who addressed to all the institutions able to help them. The Committee on Science and Education addressed to the Cabinet of Ministers with this issue twice.
“Canceling the decision testifies that active position on defense of personal rights can be efficient. Community can press on the authorities,” Liliya Hrynevych stressed.
“As the Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education, I am an ally in this issue. Cancelation of so-called optimization of general schools and out-of-school activities network is on the agenda. Change of higher education model in Ukraine and creation of legislative conditions for development of national science are among our primary issues,” Liliya Hrynevych noted.
