The draft law (Reg. No. 2060) suggests refining the procedure of personal voting by the people’s deputies exclusively from their work place and provides for possibility to use photo and video materials made by people’s deputies or mass media representatives during voting in the session hall, as an evidence of violation of personal voting during the plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada.

Execution of duties by the people’s deputy in the interests of all fellow citizens proceeds from the content of the oath taken by the people’s deputy before the Verkhovna Rada. In particular, the text of the oath reads “the people’s deputy is obliged to adhere to the Constitution of Ukraine and the laws of Ukraine”. This provision is specified in article 24 of the Law “On the Status of the People’s Deputy” under which, personal participation in voting on issues considered by the Verkhovna Rada is the obligation of the people’s deputy.
