The Chairman of the Committee for Informatization and Information Technologies Valeriy Omelchenko participated in the meting of the National Commission exercising state regulation in the sphere of connection and informatization

The event, devoted to presentation of the Report on the Commission’s work for 2012, was held under the chairmanship of NC RZI Petro Yatsuk, who expressed hope for fruitful and continuous cooperation with the Committee and noted that joint efforts would be of extreme efectivenes for IT development.          

“The previous year was busy and fruitful from the point of view of regulatory activity. We have developed more than 30 legal regulatory acts, 15 of which are already implemented. These legal regulatory acts regulate the activity of telecommunications market,” informed P.Yastuk.

Addressing participants of the meeting on behalf of the Committee, Valeriy Omelchenko noted that information and telecommunication technologies are an important factor of socio-economic development of Ukraine and state authorities pay great attention to the role of informatization, quality of communication and conditions of business dealing in the sphere of ICT.   

“It is quite understandable that there was a need to establish parliamentary body that would deal with legislative enforcement of IT development. All the bills pertaining to the sphere of high-tech shall pass through the Committee. The Committee will ensure possibilities for establishing optimal conditions for the development of domestic IT industry,” noted the Committee Chair.

The top priority for cooperation between the Committee and Commission in 2013 shall be the work over further improvement of branch legislation in order to continue market liberalization by simplifying licensing system and abolishing certain licensing types.  

Representatives of Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, central bodies of executive power, national regulatory bodies of Ukraine, business, NGOs and mass media also participated in the meeting.
