The Committee noted that the bill (Reg. No. 1040) aims to perpetuate the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 by preserving the names of streets, alleys, avenues, squares, parks, bridges and other structures, named in honor of military servicemen who made a heroic feat, the Red Army, partisans, underground, the Red Army combat formations and other events related to WWII.
The Committee decided to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt the draft law as a basis in the first reading.
