The Committee on Economic Policy recommends that the Parliament should recommit for refinement the draft law to amend the Law “On Restoring a Debtor's Solvency or Recognizing It Bankrupt” re prohibition to file a petition for bankruptcy of mining enterprises (revised)

The bill (Reg. No. 1109) suggests amending section “Final Provisions” of the Law “On Restoring a Debtor's Solvency or Recognizing It Bankrupt” in regard to prolongation of moratorium on filing a petition for bankruptcy of mining enterprises, whose share in the statuary funds is not less then 25 per cent, until January 1, 2015.

 

Thus, it is suggested substitute words and figures “January 1, 2013” with words and figures “January 1, 2015” in the clause 3 of section X of “Final Provisions” of the Law “On Restoring a Debtor's Solvency or Recognizing It Bankrupt”.

 

Committee members believe that implementation of bill provisions will prevent loss of mining enterprises that are of special importance to the economy of Ukraine, and help avoid significant environmental and social problems.
