The bill (Reg. No. 1244) suggests granting a pension for special merits before Ukraine to a father for raising five and more children up to the age of six, in case of death of a mother or if she was deprived of parental rights.

The Committee noted that current legislation stipulates the right to pension for special merits before Ukraine only to mothers who gave birth to five or more children and raised them up to the age of six.

Thereat, according to the Law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, women who gave birth to five or more children and raised them up to the age of six have the right to early age pension. In the absence of mother, the respected right is granted to father.
