The bill (Reg. No. 2295) proposes to solve the issues concerning the payment for processing and disposal of waste, as defined in this sphere of authority of local governments, local administrations and the national commission that provides state regulation of public utilities, and regulating investment, tariff and other activities in the field of radioactive waste management.

According to the members of the Committee, the draft provides much wider basis for payment for communal services.

It was stated also that the Law “On Waste” determines the notion of “waste as recycled resources”, which establishes a special legal status of such waste.
