The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation does not uphold the draft law to amend Transitional Provisions of the Tax Code in regard to establishing conditions for taking measures on environmental modernization by enterprises of fuel and energy complex

The bill (Reg. No. 2009) suggests securing the possibility of taking measures on environmental modernization by enterprises of fuel and energy complex, as well as restoration and development of industrial objects by delaying environmental tax rate increase and ensuring formation of a special fund of the state budget in the part of revenues from environmental tax and further channeling of these funds to fulfillment of target projects on environmental modernization.  

 

It was stressed that the bill does not comply with article 42 of the Constitution of Ukraine and article 25 of the Commercial Code of Ukraine. It was said that the bill lacks financial and economic justification.
