The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak does not exclude the possibility that the Parliament will consider the issue of the election date of the Kyiv City Mayor

If the specialized committee will be ready to make proposals on the issue in the session hall, the Verkhovna Rada may consider the issue of election date of the Kyiv City Mayor in the next plenary week,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak said, answering the questions of journalist in Zaporizhzhya on Thursday.

Volodymyr Rybak noted that approximately 10 projects of documents concerning this issue are registered in the Secretariat of the Parliament.    

“To talk about the elections in Kyiv in 2 June, we should make the official decision this Tuesday,” he noted.

Volodymyr Rybak hopes that on Friday during the meeting with faction’s leaders and on Monday at the meeting of the Conciliatory Council the decision on the issue of the elections in Kyiv will be made. “My task is to put this issue on the agenda, in case of success,” he said.
