The opposition does not have the right to decide whether the Parliament should work or not and dictate terms to the rest of people’s deputies.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik said that.

“Opposing deputies, that are the minority and number 177 in the Parliament, try to dictate their terms by means of ultimatums and blackmailing. Early termination of powers of the current Verkhovna Rada is their desired scenario which will stipulate further chaos and tension in the society,” stressed Ihor Kalyetnik.

“This is such a know-how of the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation. Haven’t received enough support of Ukrainian people, the opposition tries to press and damage the work of the Verkhovna Rada under any pretence. Such scenario aims at deploying presidential campaign on the part of “Batkivshchyna”, “Svoboda” and “UDAR”. However, they will not benefit from it. I am convinced that there will be no dissolution of the Parliament,” stressed the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.

He believes also that the latter intentions of the opposition to raise people's uprising and organize All-Ukrainian stocks struggle shall not be supported by citizens.

“There are no preconditions for the so-called people’s uprising. Rhetoric of the opposing leaders is more like fantasy of a horror movie director – the more frightful it is, the biggest audience there is,” stressed I.Kalyetnik.

“We should note that against the background of the upcoming presidential elections, deputies from opposition hardly know how to attract attention. I would like to remind representatives of opposing factions that there are two more years before the election of a new Head of the state and it is untimely to deploy campaign headquarters,” summed Ihor Kalyetnik.
