The Committee on Social Policy and Labour recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the draft law to amend the Law “On Trade Unions, their Rights and Guarantees of Activity” (re strengthening of legal and socio-economic security of the educatees)

The bill (Reg. No. 2015), submitted by people’s deputies I.Berezhna and A.Pinchuk suggests refining the system of educatees’ interest protection.

 

During the discussion, attention was focused on the fact that according to the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law “On Trade Unions, their Rights and Guarantees of Activity”, educatees have the right to participate in trade unions parliament members stressed, however, that legislation does not determine rights and authorities of students’ trade unions.  

 

People’s deputies believe that implementation of bill provisions will promote refinement of the system of educatees’ interest protection and will increase general level of social protection of students.
