Exhibition-presentation of the resources of civil society organizations and international organizations “Information Fair-2013” was opened in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Information Fair, jointly organized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat and the USAID, was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat Dmytro Markov and the USAID Mission Director Jed Barton.

 

Dmytro Markov welcomed the participants of the event in the Verkhovna Rada and expressed his gratitude to the USAID Mission Director Jed Barton and Director of Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine II Eleanor Valentine for fruitful cooperation.

 

Jed Barton stressed that all the exhibits and programs represented at the fair "reflect all the important reforms in the spheres of legal and economic policy, the initiatives that have been implemented in cooperation with the Ukrainian Parliament, with local communities, and non-governmental organizations".

 

The USAID Mission Director stressed that "the United States are set to further cooperation and future partnerships with Ukraine in the period when it paves its way to Europe, to democratic states”.

 

Besides, the USAID Mission Director expressed his gratitude to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the support of this informational event.

 

Additional information: first Information fair in the Verkhovna Rada was held in 1998. 

 

Almost 40 organizations of international technical support in Ukraine and Ukrainian non-governmental organization participate in the “Information Fair – 2013.”
