The Parties discussed the issue of cooperation between Ukraine and the OSCE, in particular, reforming the election legislation of our state. Ambassador Audrey Glover stressed the importance of earliest possible implementation of recommendations proposed in the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission Final Report (2012), involving opposition and representatives of non-governmental organizations. Ms. Ambassador said it is necessary to take early moves towards credible electoral system, based on the Election Code. In this regard, Ambassador stressed the necessity of establishing parliamentary election results in five majoritarian districts.
Apart from this, Audrey Glover expressed “serious concerns about the decision on depriving Pavlo Baloha and Oleksandr Dombrovskiy of deputy mandates by the High Administrative Court”.
Hryhoriy Nemyria stressed that “Ukraine has to take immediate measures to solve the issue of politically motivated persecutions, as was stated in the Resolutions of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, PACE and the European Parliament”.
"Fulfilment of the European Council criteria (10/12/12), necessary for signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, depends on the progress in the abovementioned directions ", Hryhoriy Nemyrya said.
