The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Vitaliy Kaliuzhnyi met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Christof Weil

The Committee Chairman noted the positive role of Germany, as one of the leading countries of the European Union, in the process of implementation of Euro-integrational direction of Ukrainian foreign policy. In this context, the issue pertaining to Ukraine’s participation in the EU Summit in Vilnius in November this year where the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement is planned to be signed, was discussed.     

 

V.Kaliuzhnyi and Ch.Weil discussed also the problematics and prospects of relations between Ukraine and the Customs Union.

 

In regard to development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, V.Kaliuzhnyi informed the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany that the Ukrainian part of the inter-parliamentary German-Ukrainian Friendship Group will be formed till the end of February.
