The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak deems socio-economic issues shall be primarily considered during the next session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which shall start its work on February 5 this year. He said this, answering questions of RADA TV Channel on Tuesday.
Volodymyr Rybak stressed that the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada jointly with the Secretariat shall determine the list of socio-economic bills to be submitted for consideration by the Parliament. In this context, he noted that the State Budget for 2013 requires reconsideration. According to him, “social obligations to people need to be fulfilled and, thus, the expenditure budget should function well”.
The Chairman of the Parliament said that he asked people’s deputies to first and foremost submit for consideration the bills that pertain to job creation and settling of economic problems. “People should live better, thus, the promises given to them during elections need to be fulfilled,” he stressed.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada expressed an opinion that the issue of elections of Kyiv city Mayor and deputies of Kyiv City Council will also be discussed during the second session. According to him, the respective resolutions were registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat. Volodymyr Rybak believes that these elections are to be held simultaneously. “I think that the Verkhovna Rada will adopt such a decision,” he said.
