The participants of the meeting believe that the provisions of the law pertaining to the time period of confidential and proprietary information, creation of document accounting system of information providers, preparation procedure to answer inqueries, etc. require refinement.

M.Tomenko noted that “there are certain provisions that are not consistent with other legislative and normative acts, particularly, regarding publication of draft decisions of district councils 20 days before the date of consideration, preparation procedure to answer inquiries on budget process, etc.”

Thereat, the Committee Chair stressed the necessity to settle the issue of prohibition to include any classified information into the general town planning scheme. “General town planning scheme should be available to each citizen as well as the decisions of the local council sessions and their standing committees,” M.Tomenko noted.

The Chairman of the Committee assured everyone present that the Committee shall cooperate with the Association of Ukrainian Cities while considering amendments to the Law “On Access to Public Information”.
