The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak predicts stable legislative work of the Parliament for the good of reforms, support of reformative endeavours and efforts of local authorities and bodies of local self-government.
On Friday, during the meeting with representatives of local authorities and local self-government bodies of Donetsk region, Volodymyr Rybak noted that current year “opens unique possibilities to make a breakthrough in reforming country”. In this context, the Chairman of the Parliament reminded of the Program of economic reforms of the President of Ukraine which, according to him, is practically approbated.
Volodymyr Rybak expressed an idea that there are all conditions to focus efforts of all branches of power on reforming key trends in the development of state.
Volodymyr Rybak informed that he shall insist on developing a prospective plan of legislative work for the whole period of cadency. He said also that programs of parties that won deputy mandates will make the basis of the plan. “Thereat, the draft legislative acts should be analyzed in terms of their importance for the socio-economic development of the state and increase of citizens’ welfare,” he claimed. “Pre-election promises should be fulfilled, first of all, through establishing laws that would balance fight against corruption, protection of human rights, job security, pension increase and implementation of reforms proposed by the President of Ukraine”.
Thereat, the Chairman of the Parliament stressed that
today, for the first time since independence, both the Government and the
Verkhovna Rada have come to the main line of coherent and well-coordinated work
in the interests of reforming country and for the benefit of a person. They shall
bare joint responsibility for the results of work before society and each
citizen.
