The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak visited the closed joint-stock company Donetskstal Metallurgical Plant and municipal institution of the city complex Veteran on Friday, within the working visit to the Donetsk region.
When communicating with the citizens of Donetsk, Volodymyr Rybak stressed the necessity of pooling efforts of central and local authorities to implement top priority reforms and social initiatives of the President of Ukraine.
According to him, today, for the first time since independence, the three branches of power work coordinately to reform the country and bare shared responsibility.
Volodymyr Rybak expressed confidence that already this year people will be able to assess actual results of this work. “The economic crisis hasn’t finished yet, but we have to implement reforms proposed by the Head of the State,” he stressed, adding that the Parliament shall establish necessary legislative basis to implement them. “My task, as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, is to join efforts of the whole Parliament,” Volodymyyr Rybak said and added that “it is necessary to do everything possible for Ukraine to be among those European countries that live better every day”.
During the briefing at the closed joint-stock company Donetskstal Metallurgical Plant Volodymyr Rybak called Donbas “the industrial capital, the basis and foundation of the state”.
The Chairman of the Parliament stressed the importance
of modernizing industrial production using advanced technologies. He supported the
idea of creating the Development Bank noting that “this year, it is necessary
to attract at least fifty billion hryvnias” for construction and development of
enterprises that will promote creation of new workplaces.
