New law on education should ensure implementation of European standards in this sphere. This was stressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak on Friday during the speech before the lecturers and students of the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

According to Volodymyr Rybak, it is necessary to establish all conditions for students to get decent education and ensure proper funding of educational institutions.

The Chairman of the Parliament informed that three respective bills from the subjects of legislative initiative are now under consideration in the specialized committee.

As it was informed earlier, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is now on a working visit in Donetsk region. The main aim of the visit is to discuss top priority problems of the region with representatives of local authorities and citizens and to search for solutions. 

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada will visit the closed joint-stock company Donetskstal Metallurgical Plant. He will acquaint himself with the work of the plant and communicate with the staff.

Volodymyr Rybak will meet with the Academic Council of the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and activists of student self-government in Makiyivka.

In Donetsk, the Chairman of the Parliament will also visit the rest home “Veteran” and meet with the representatives of local self-government as well as local bodies of executive power and give press conference for mass media.
